​“I was 4 when I saw The Magic Flute,” Golda recalls. “I was  in awe of the grandiose sets and performers. When I got in the car afterward I was elated and singing. I knew this was going to be my career.”

Golda Zahra was born in Los Angeles, California. Her passion for opera materialised at the early age of 8 and she has since performed as a soloist with many orchestras including The Southeast Symphony, Hollywood Chamber Orchestra, Burbank Philharmonic, and many others. In May of 2015, Zahra was the honored to have won the Classical Music section of Los Angeles Music Center's prestigious Spotlight Awards, she is the youngest winner so far in the Opera category.

In June 2020, she performed her first recital at the Cantiere All'Opera di Padova. In September that year she made her debut as Violetta Valéry in Giuseppe Verdi's opera La Traviata in concert format. In like manner, she had the honour of singing in the courtyard of the Estense Castle in Ferrara, where she performed as part of the NoteVoli concert.

In June 2022, Zahra was named a finalist for the first Rai radio Voci In Barcaccia operatic competition. She has since moved to Italy and is studying with world-renowned soprano Barbara Frittoli.
